For Women's History Month 2025, the Up First newsletter wants to honor the women who have made the biggest impact in your life.
Women's History Month started as Women's History Week in 1982. Congress ed a law in 1987 designating the month of March as Women's History Month. Since 1995, presidents have issued a series of proclamations about the monthly celebration in order to recognize the contributions women have made to U.S. history.
